Presenter Guide

ACH 2026 will be held on two platforms: Zoom and Work Adventure. All presentations will be in Zoom. For all Zoom sessions, a Tech chair will be present to assist — starting the Zoom 15 minutes early, admitting attendees, enforcing the Code of Conduct, and switching to a backup Zoom if a session is disrupted.

The instructions below explain the specifics for each session type.

Session Types

Panels

1 hour and 15 minutes per session. The session structure can be organized by the panelists and moderator.

Papers

12–15 minutes per paper, with 3–4 papers per session. A dedicated moderator will handle introductions and Q&A.

Creative Presentations

5–6 minute Lightning Talks, with a dedicated moderator handling introductions and Q&A.

In addition, Creative Presenters are encouraged to provide a link to a digital poster that will be showcased in Work Adventure. Provide a link to a public resource — a slidedeck, PDF, website, video, or any digital asset — and make sure the link is publicly accessible. This digital poster will be showcased in our Work Adventure environment, and attendees will be able to visit and interact with it throughout the conference. To include your poster, email your link to conference@ach.org.

General Info for Presenters

  • Session links and location will be posted in the ConfTool Conference Agenda before the conference.
  • Show up 15 minutes early to your Zoom session to test screen sharing.
  • Be as inclusive as possible. Review the accessibility guidelines, and enable captioning whenever you share media.
  • Work Adventure will be open throughout the conference — pop in anytime to socialize or look around. During breaks between sessions and at the Care Fair, volunteer guides will be present at the spawn point. We recommend using Google Chrome.

About Work Adventure

Work Adventure is our browser-based virtual world, with dedicated spaces to view digital posters, gather with others, chat, or sit quietly together. The link to the official ACH 2026 world will be posted in the ConfTool Conference Agenda before the conference.

Getting in

• You only need a web browser — no downloads or installation. We strongly recommend Google Chrome; accessibility and screen-sharing options are limited in other browsers.
  • When your browser prompts you, click "Allow" to enable your camera and microphone.
  • Close unused tabs and applications to improve performance, and keep your browser up to date.

Getting around

  • When two or more people come into range, a circle appears and you can talk by video/audio or use the chat.
  • Volunteer guides gather at the center spawn point (their avatar names will say so) and can help you find your way.

Troubleshooting & accessibility

  • Some Chrome users may need to disable the Evernote Web Clipper extension (Chrome > Window > Extensions); it can freeze you on the welcome screen. See Work Adventure troubleshooting.
  • Captions: in Chrome, go to Settings > Accessibility and turn on "Live Caption."

Practice ahead of time

You can practice navigating a demo Work Adventure map before the conference to get a feel for the experience.
